Call Loggers, or Call Management systems have been around for quite a few years now and they allow the data records from your telephone system to be analysed. In most circumstances, call loggers are the only way to obtain detailed cost and quality information per user or department within a large organization. The invoice from your the network provider will detail the costs but not provide detailed information on which user, extn or department made the call.
To obtain this information, a data buffer is connected to your telephone system and then the individual call records are analysed by the recommended call logging provider. Telephone systems supported include all of the major manufacturers including Avaya, Cisco, Ericsson Inter-Tel, Mitel, Nortel, Panasonic, Siemens and Toshiba.
All Call Logging modules provide the following:
Control of Cost– This comprises options such as call listings, split of costs by department/cost centre, analysis of calls by destination (local, national, ngn, mobile, International)
Quality Reporting – How many calls where answered? What was the average ring time? How many calls were abandoned? Which department has the best performance, and the worst?
Network Usage – Reporting on-line utilization, for example if there are not enough or too many telephone lines.
User Stats – How many calls are being made or received by each person. Are your sales team making the minimum amount of calls per day or per hour. How many calls are users receiving, do you need more or less staff to cope with demand?
