Context-Sensitive Operation

DT3, DT4, DT5 and DT6 display telephones sport a large Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) surrounded by four context-sensitive soft-keys.

The text displayed tells you exactly what functions are available at any moment, depending on the context. So, as the status of the call alters (eg: when a call is placed on hold, or pick-up is required, call forwarding) both the text and the function of the keys alters too, indicating the logical next step. To take it, you simply press the soft-key next to the appropriate message.

Access the INDeX Phone System

You can scroll through the entire internal phone directory of extension numbers and groups – plus up to 1800 stored external numbers on the display using the alphanumeric keypad to position the list. And one press of the soft-key adjacent to the selected name will dial for you. The internal directory’s dynamically-maintained database is up-to-date at all times.

Voice Mail Access Control Setup

Thanks to its unique integration, you may access and control INDeX Voice Manager messages from your DT3, DT4, DT5 or DT6 phone. You may also easily record a fresh greeting for your mailbox each day. No other system offers such levels of seamless integration and easy access to voice mail control.
Additional features include optional, user-defined Persuasive Ringing TM which escalates cadences and volume to ensure that your customers are never left hanging on too long, and personally adjustable ringing and volume tones let you easily identify your own phone in a busy office. Plus, DT4 and DT5 phones have speed-dialling keys with dual-colour lamps which indicate whether the extension, group of extensions, or line/group of lines selected is free or engaged.

DT6 – Desk Top CTI Call Control

The DT6 has all the functionality of the DT5 but with the additional benefit of a ‘first party’ CTI interface. The DT6 integrates directly with a user’s PC for database and pre-view dialling applications. This enables cost effective PC dialling from many Microsoft compatible applications, such as Phone Dialler, Exchange and Outlook, using Hayes AT commands.

The DSS BLF is a simple unit that can be mounted together with any DT or TT terminal to provide 42 additional softkeys. This allows the terminal to be used as a small switchboard or speed-dialling unit with direct visual indications of the status of the available extensions.
